From Your State Captain

My brothers and sisters of the Patriot Guard,

As we approach the eave of the celebration of our Savior’s birth, I want you all to know how thankful I am for each and every one of you. This past year has had it’s challenges, and each of you have continued to stay the course of our mission and you have raised the bar!!!

We had two great District Captains step down this year. David “Duce” VanDuisen and Harold “Gatekeeper” Appelgate, thank you for all your hard work with our Northwest and West Central districts. You have helped us get through many of the “bumps” and I truly appreciate both of you. I would also like to thank Jim “Bikervet” Dickson and Angela “Angel” Emery for stepping up and taking on the West Central and Northwest districts respectively.

Thanks also to the rest of the leadership team, Mark “Cheekymark” Telford (Assistant State Captain), TK “Chutzpah” Johnson(Peninsula District Captain), Lynn “Bulldog” Vaughn(SW District Captain), Larry “Commo” Griffith(NE District Captain), Neal “Stretch” Miller(SE Distirct Captain), Dee “Pitbull” Robinson (HOTH Director), Rick “Faceplant” McLachlin(JBLM liaison), and Robert “Beaconkeeper” Heili(Support Vehicle Captain), as well as our Board of Directors and all of our Ride Captains. All of your support and hard work has truly been a blessing.

As each of you stand the line, please know that you are all truly Angels to the families of those we honor. You do what we do, day in and day out, and you are always there, no matter what the weather. The sacrifices each of you make to ensure our fallen heroes are properly respected and honored is appreciated and shall never be taken for granted.

Again, with heartfelt gratitude I thank each of you for everything, and pray the each of you will be blessed with all of those things you stand in need of in the coming months ahead.

Please be safe this holiday season, enjoy the time with your families, and I wish for each of you a Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Humbly,
Dave
